Overview:
Our client functions as the IT team for their customers. They will be hiring an Technical Project Manager  with experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. Knowledge of IT Operations or Business Process Automation is ideal. This role will be developing and maintaining project plans that establish deadlines for each project milestone and deliverable and acting as a liaison between the team and our clients. This position reports directly to the Director of Project Management.

For the first 90 days, this position will work 100% onsite in Vancouver, WA (hybrid expectation after that).

How does this role add value in the first few months?
Take ownership of assigned projects and portfolios, operating and managing risk without direct oversight needed. Build trust with internal employees and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects assigned by the Director of Project Management to ensure overall adherence to scope, budget and schedule
    • Typical project scope is 6 months to 1 year (IT infrastructure, Business Process automation, Cybersecurity, BI Reporting)
  • Own project documentation including statements of work, project plans, deliverables, training materials, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate project schedules, goals and milestones and make project assignments
  • Act as primary contact for project related communications and interactions with clients
  • Act as a liaison between clients and staff

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Create technical documentation as needed
  • Participate in analyzing and routing proactive and reactive client requests to the appropriate resources
  • Understand and communicate user conceptual requirements and needs
  • Mentor team members  
  • Assist with implementation of new processes/procedures

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Project Management (IT infrastructure, Business Process automation, Cybersecurity, BI Reporting)
  • Experience managing 3 complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using SharePoint.
  • PMP required or willing to get it in the first 6 months.
  • Excellent communication skills (client facing).

Preferred:

  • Technical writing experience.
  • MSP or Consulting industry experience
  • CSM, or PMI-PBA Certification
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Commitment to process improvement and learning
  • Curiosity and initiative
  • ConnectWise ticketing system
